Knowledge Dunes is providing FREE Surah Al Fatihah for kids’ online classes. The class is suitable for children aged 8 to 12 years old. The contents of the class are based on Tafsir Ibn Kathir. The notes are available here.

We will organise the 2 SESSIONS through the Zoom application. During the sessions, will explain the introduction, the virtues, and the surah’s names. We will explain each verse in an easy way for the children to understand, inshaaAllah.

We hope that the class will help the children to understand the meaning of the surah.

Who is the teacher?

My name is Dr. Fadzidah; many call me by my nickname, Intan. I am a Malaysian with four years of working experience as a medical doctor. I have a certificate in Education from the Islamic Online University, under Sheikh Dr. Bilal Philips’s guidance and a current student pfPost-Graduate Diploma in Islamic Studies. Alhamdulillah, I have six children aged 8 to 22 years old.

As a teacher, I organized and gave teenagers workshops from 2012 to 2017 and taught weekend Islamic classes for English-speaking children from 2015 to 2017 in Oman. I also taught Islamic studies to teenagers in Qatar from 2017 to 2018. We are currently staying in Malaysia, and I am pursuing my Higher Diploma In Islamic Studies from the same university. I strongly believe in delivering Islam’s knowledge based on the Quran and As-Sunnah, based on the understanding of the Sahabah and our predecessors.

The class size?

The class is specifically catered for small numbers of children to allow for an interactive session between the students and myself. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could ensure that your child is present for the class we allocated for them if they are selected. If your child cannot attend, please let me know through email to give the slot to those on the waiting list.
